The Innovation Race “Best Practices” Cultural Mapping – Collaborators Canvas & Simulation

How to build an innovation culture. A memorable, engaging global challenge & theme, where participants are required to visit different regions around the world to explore and map case studies of innovative cultures, countries & companies (best & worst practices). Plot your organization's current and desired state onto the map. Finish up with an action plan, & leadership behaviours, to give your organization a sustainable future map.

 

USAGES: This board is an immersive simulation designed to help teams explore the organization’s strategic positioning. Using the Dynamic Polar Positioning (DPoP) model, this simulation identifies current and desired states to look at the big picture and map the organization capabilities and gaps. The end output is to establish a strategic sustainable innovative map with implementable action plans. The simulation has a memorable, engaging global challenge & theme, where participants are required to visit different regions around the world to explore and map case studies of innovative cultures, countries & companies (best practices).

The simulation has a memorable, engaging global challenge theme, where participants are required to visit different regions around the world to explore and map case studies of innovative cultures, countries & companies (best practices). This canvas can be used by leaders and teams virtual or in person.

This session is for leaders who are serious about strategically creating a culture of growth and innovation. It covers how to build an environment that embraces positive change management for sustainable and purpose-driven innovation. 

The sessions are based around using an immersive simulation designed to help teams explore the organization’s strategic positioning. Using the original ‘Dynamic Polar Positioning’ (DPoP) model, this simulation identifies current and desired states to look at the big picture and map the organization’s capabilities and gaps. The simulation has a memorable engaging global challenge theme, where participants are required to visit different regions around the world to explore and map case studies of innovative cultures, countries & companies (best practices). This results in identifying key qualities can then be brought back to the organization, with the end output being: to establish and lead a strategic sustainable innovative culture with implementable action plans. 


The Innovation Culture Mapping is recommended to:

  • Identify and navigate the 4-key innovation ‘Paradox Pairs’ that can block or enable growth though the ‘Polar Positioning’ tool and apply them at work (global best practices).
  • Provide a strategic implementable plan and practical tool for leading sustainable innovation, with action plans and behavior modification strategies.
  • Recognize and then deal with the typical tensions in organizations related to growth and change.
  • Determine acceptable behaviors for individuals and their teams in order to remain open to lead growth and sustainable innovation.

The digital program comes with the  digital Miro-board and online exercises. The session can be self-led by an independent leader OR coach. This can also be complemented with more content from a professional facilitator and other online resources. The digital board is complete with instructions and videos to allow teams to independently self-guide through the session. It can also be printed for face to face / in-person interaction.


Self-led teams (option #2) have the option to also upload their boards and assessments to receive professional Analysis /Feedback /Coaching and help to identify innovation leadership capabilities. (extra fees apply)

The Platform

The team leader/coach will enroll in this online course in order to get access to the Miroboard / Canvas.

The actual canvas session takes place on a Miroboard. This course is to set the leader up to run the session (and to make payment). The board comes complete with instructions, videos & steps, for the leader to run the core elements of the program independently.

The canvas  / miroboard can be used virtually, printed AND OR digitally in a face-to-face workshop, where the group uses their laptops and the leader a  screen at the front of the room. All changes made on a laptop will automatically reflect on everyone else's laptop and leaders (screen).

This canvas is not content-heavy. It's a tool/canvas to be used for discussion and strategic planning.  For coaches wanting to dive deep into the content, we recommend becoming trained and accredited. This can be achieved by enrolling in the coaching course, participating in a workshop and/or becoming fully licensed. 

Please note this course and canvas purchase is for single leaders and coaches to use with their small teams. It is not for large-scale commercial use. (this requires a license and train the trainer course.)

  • Therefore each participant is recommended (but not required)  to have completed an iCLi, and bring their graph results.
  • This will require separate purchasing of the iCLi per person.

  • How do people purchase the IR-Canvas /Board?

    ANSWER: The ‘miro’ board /canvas, is accessed through our Learning Management System https://courses.tirian.com/ and forms the CORE ELEMENTS program part of a larger INNOVATE suite. By purchasing and enrolling in this COURSE, this will allow the leader to receive a URL link to their own board and then share it with their team. To receive the board canvas URL, enrol and start doing this online course, and we should be notified. please allow a 2-3 working days to create your board and send you the URL link.

  • USES: What are the Face-to-face in-person and Digital options?

    OPTION 1 Face-to-Face (in person): you can use laptops around a table - every contribution an individual makes is instantly reflected on the Miroboard (everyone's laptop.) AND you can also have a large screen out the front. // OPTION 2: Face-to-Face (in person): you can print the Miroboard on a large A0 flipchart paper and physically fill it in. // OPTION 3: Digitally and virtually over Zoom or Teams. // OPTION 4: Overtime: This team can use and reuse their board as a plan to refer back to, and even come back to it to adjust it as/if the strategy needs changing.

  • What is the best team size per 'canvas / board?

    ANSWER: This course is designed for a very small close team rec up to 8 pax. (team coaching). The board is for reflection, discussion & feedback. It is not designed for teaching. Any larger will require the engagement of a full workshop OR full licensing accreditation.

  • Do I need to have completed (purchased) the iCLi assesment prior to this session?

    Recommended but not required. The iCLi assessment is not included in this package price. This is because some will purchase the iCLi assessment and not this board, or may choose to use this course / board at a later stage.

  • I have more than 1 team, and more than 8 people.

    ANSWER: You can automatically buy and start running the session immediately for you as a leader and your 1 team (max 8). If you want to purchase more than one canvas /board or repeat for future sessions, contact us (TIRIAN) [email protected] and we can arrange codes and an invoice.   • Can I reuse the Collaborators Canvases?

    ANSWER: Independent Self-Led Leaders & Coaches- It’s recommended to repurchase a new board each time, for new teams, especially if the team wants to keep their current canvas live, (allowing them to revisit and update it). However at a squeeze, it can be reused by the same purchaser, noting the canvas would need to be reset (scrubbed) by the purchaser. Fully licensed partners - get unlimited access to the canvases and the equivalent physical table versions, if it forms part of their contract in the context of a full workshop & TTT contract.

  • How do I purchase additional Collaborator Canvases?

    ANSWER: If you want to purchase more than one canvas /board or repeat for future sessions, contact us (TIRIAN) [email protected] and we can arrange codes and an invoice.
